New Year's Fever

how what to give

for a new year

is yet another sickness

wreck me to my bed

rid me into the heat

sore my throat again

coughing up mucus

getting my bed

oh so smelly

and wetting myself

just watch me die

on New Year's Day

motherfucker

the fever kicking in

leaves me dreaded

now I can't sleep

struggling

and moving

back and forth

thinking about

trash animals

help me helpless

bring me some tea

please oh please

my lungs are about

to expectorate

and now it won't stop

for a few days

all that tea helps

black tea

peach tea

chamomile tea

but let me

open the window

just for 5 minutes

'cause I coughed

the whole night through

yes yes

what a great start

to another whole year

surely surely

it won't get any worse

from here on out
